Most new bloggers focus entirely on writing posts. They publish five articles, apply for AdSense, and get rejected — often because they are missing the most basic pages every blog needs.
Blogger has two types of content: Posts (articles that appear in reverse chronological order) and Pages (static pages that stay in the same place regardless of when you published them).
This guide covers how to create pages in Blogger and exactly what content each essential page needs — including templates you can customize and publish today.

The 4 Essential Pages Every Blogger Blog Needs
Page 1 — About Page
Your About page is the second most visited page on most blogs — readers go there when they want to know who is behind the content and whether they can trust you.
What to include:
- Who you are and your background relevant to the blog topic
- What your blog is about and who it is for
- Why you started this blog
- What readers will get from following your content
- Optional: a photo of yourself (builds personal trust significantly)
About Page Template (customize and publish):
Welcome to InsiderHacks
InsiderHacks is a free resource for bloggers, content creators, and digital entrepreneurs who want to build, grow, and monetize their online presence.
I started this blog because I was where you are now — a beginner trying to figure out Blogger, SEO, and how people actually make money online. Most resources I found were either too technical, too vague, or written for audiences with completely different contexts.
InsiderHacks covers everything I have learned — from setting up your first Blogger blog to advanced SEO strategies, traffic growth, AdSense optimization, and building a real blogging business. Every guide is written for beginners, with practical steps and no unnecessary jargon.
Whether you are publishing your first post or scaling to your 100th, there is something here for you.
Follow along. Let us build something together.
Length: 200–500 words. Do not make it too long — readers skim About pages.
Page 2 — Contact Page
A Contact page gives readers, advertisers, and collaborators a way to reach you. It is required for Google AdSense approval and builds trust with your audience.
What to include:
- A brief invitation to connect
- Your email address (create a professional one — yourname@gmail.com works fine)
- What types of inquiries are welcome (collaborations, questions, advertising)
- Optional: a simple contact form using Google Forms
Contact Page Template:
Get in Touch
Have a question about blogging, SEO, or making money online? Want to collaborate or advertise on InsiderHacks? I would love to hear from you.
Email: your@email.com
I read every message and typically respond within 48 hours. For advertising and sponsorship inquiries, please include your website URL and brief description of your brand.
How to add a contact form:
- Go to forms.google.com → create a simple form with Name, Email, Message fields
- Click Send → Embed → copy the embed code
- In Blogger page editor, switch to HTML view → paste the embed code
Page 3 — Privacy Policy Page
A Privacy Policy is legally required if you collect any data from visitors. When you use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, or any comment system, you are collecting data — which means you need a Privacy Policy.
Without a Privacy Policy, Google AdSense will reject your application.
How to create a free Privacy Policy:
- Go to privacypolicygenerator.info or termsfeed.com
- Enter your blog name and URL
- Select the tools you use (Google Analytics, AdSense, etc.)
- Generate the policy and copy the text
- Paste into a new Blogger page titled "Privacy Policy"
- Publish and add to your footer navigation
Key sections your Privacy Policy must cover:
- What data you collect and why
- How you use cookies (Google Analytics and AdSense use cookies)
- Third-party services you use
- How readers can contact you about their data
- Last updated date
Page 4 — Disclaimer Page
A Disclaimer page is required if your blog earns money through affiliate links or if you provide advice in a field like finance, health, or legal topics.
Disclaimer Template:
Disclaimer

Optional Pages Worth Adding
Resources / Tools Page
List the tools, plugins, and resources you use and recommend. Include affiliate links where relevant. High earning potential — visitors looking for tool recommendations have strong purchase intent.
Start Here Page
A guided introduction to your best content for new visitors. Link to your most important articles in a logical learning order. Reduces bounce rate significantly for new readers who do not know where to begin.
Write for Us Page
Once your blog has traffic, a "Write for Us" page attracts guest contributors — free content from others in your niche, plus backlinks from their networks.
Adding Pages to Your Navigation Menu
After publishing your pages, add them to your blog's navigation:
- Go to Layout in the left sidebar
- Find the Pages gadget (usually below the header)
- Click Edit
- Select which pages to show in navigation
- You can also add external links (like your social profiles) here
- Click Save
Recommended navigation order:
Home → About → [Main Category Pages] → Contact
Privacy Policy and Disclaimer typically go in the footer, not the main navigation.
Next Steps
With your essential pages published, your blog now has the foundation required for AdSense approval and reader trust. The next step is understanding all of Blogger's settings — and configuring the ones that actually affect your SEO and traffic:
